The Stem Wound and Set High Quality ELGIN 15 Jewel Movement, Serial No.18550304 is beautifully crisp and clean. The movement is running with a FULL, sweet action and is keeping very good time. The double hinges are solid as is the stem with the Bow firm and the crown/winder operating exactly as it should. The Clear White Elgin Dial is in excellent condition being completely free from Hairlines or cracks on the main dial.The sunk subsidiary seconds dial has black seconds chapters and a blued steel seconds baton. The main hands are the exceptionally elegant Slim Spade Style in Blued Steel which point to Bold Black Arabic Numeral Hour Chapters the Red 60 Minutes Register on the Perimeter completes the dial. This exceptional Dial is signed by The Elgin Watch Co. The 50mm/2inches 14KT Gold Filled Ornate Full Hunter Case is in the Most Excellent condition. All 3 covers open to 90degrees then close crisply and firmly. The front cover has a twin Roman laurel design with lightly monogrammed shield the overall appearance is stunning in both beauty and artistry. The rear cover is almost identical -the difference of a floral head on the Highly Ornate cartouche shield .Beaded edging on both covers finishes this perfect design and gives a beautiful feel to the timepiece. Depress the Crown and the Front Cover flies open to 90 degrees and stays firmly there, press the crown again and close the front cover where it will stay firmly. This shows that the spring and catch are operating perfectly when using the crown/winder. You should always depress the crown when closing the front cover as this will save wear to the Gold on the cover. The Silvered Elgin Dial is Immaculate being completely free from Hairlines or cracks .The sunk subsidiary seconds dial has black seconds chapter indexes and a Golden seconds Baton. The main hands are the Golden Pils style which point to Raised Golden Art Deco Style Arabic Numeral Hour Chapters , This Very Lovely Dial is signed by Elgin in Block, with the Model name De Luxe in flowing script below and is protected by a mineral glass crystal. The 45mm/1.75inches Gold Filled Case is in Excellent condition and is completely dent free. This type movement with Rare Teske Regulator was used by The Canadian Pacific Railway and is very collectable.-( To Set the Time (hands) gently ease out the lever (.25inch) at the 2 position with your fingernail and wind the crown/winder clockwise to the required time- replace the lever - the wind the timepiece clockwise for 5 or 6 turns)The double hinges are solid as is the stem with the Bow firm and the crown/winder operating exactly as it should.The Magnificent Hampden Gold Leaf Accent Porcelain Dial is Collectable on its own and is signed with The Hampden Watch Co Logo.- There are a couple Hairlines around the 7 and the 5 however these are quite difficult to see and my opinion do not affect the appearance clear pictures of this original dial are shown.The sunk subsidiary seconds dial has Black seconds chapters and a Blued Steel seconds baton. The main hands are the Magnificently Elegant Slim Open Moon Style in Blued Steel which point to Bold Black and clear Roman Numeral hour chapters . This Stunning Dial is protected by a bevelled mineral glass crystal. The 55mm/2.25inches 14KT Rose Gold Filled Highly Ornate Case is in Excellent condition and is signed by J Boss 14Kt warranted. All 3 covers open to 90degrees then close crisply and firmly. The Rear cover has a Superbly Ornate Design and has an engraved Pastoral scene. The edges of the Case are Stunning and yet still tastefully ornate to suit a Man and gives excellent grip- There are no Personal Inscriptions anywhere and there are no dents.
